German Swiss
International School is a private school that was founded in 1969 from German
Swiss families. The school started with only having 73 students and increased
to more than 1300 students on campus from more than 30 countries nowadays. The
school is located near The Peak in Hong Kong.
It is a bilingual school
that use German and English as their teaching languages. Staff are mostly from
German and English-speaking countries. The school offers educational levels
from kindergarten all the way to secondary levels. Within the school, there are
two curriculums:
- English School Streams
- German School Streams
The school wants to
provide an education to students that allows them to reach their full
potential; the school also encourages each student to grow as an individual,
but also together as a team. It teaches students to understand how important
they are and how to be responsible in their society. With the school consisting
of different cultures, it wants students to understand the importance of global
aspects, to welcome opportunities, and to be willing to meet daily challenges.
The school believes it offers the best environment for students to learn and
grow academically, but also art, music, sport and care for the community.
