The main purpose of the show is to promote ecology and gain people's awareness to environment protection. The overall show allows people to get to know more about planting flowers, take care of the fish and birds. This is a yearly event that attract in total approximately two hundred and four thousand of locals and tourists to go visit.
Although the show is only in North District, however, the show goes from a regional community activity that expanded to an annual event in Hong Kong. The show is so successful, which it has been invited to display in Hong Kong area, the Government House and even invited twice to display in Macau Orchid Expo.
In the show, it presents a variety of flowers, fishes and
birds, but this is not just any regular show as it showcases all the winners in
each category. This show is a relaxed event but also present awards and results
from different competitions, for example:

- Parents-child coloring competition
- Photography Competition
- Hong Kong Schools Drawing Competition
- Hong Kong Schools Environmental Planting Competition
- Hong Kong School Renewable Energy STEM Design Competition
Besides, there are organic veggies, fruits and food for people to shop. People can shop for herbs, flowers in all the flower booths and interact with the flower growers. The show is a great timing for people to shop for flowers as people usually buy flower before Chinese Lunar New Year come up. All the flowers are selling at reasonable prices, some even have discounts or with cheaper pricing.
