The school was once on the site of former British military hospital until it finally became its own two campus in 2017. The school has a total number of 1,200 students on campus with ages from 11 to 19.  The teaching language in this school is English.

The school provides education for the following levels:
  • General Certificate of Secondary Education
  •  International Baccalaureate® (IB) Diploma
  • Applied Learning (BTEC)
In Island School, it pays attention on critical thinking, confidence, respect and world aspects. The school values the enthusiasm of learning, perseverance for students to achieve their best and to help students facing obstacles to overcome challenges. The school has an obligation to develop student leadership, teach respectably great manners, and help both local and world community with appreciation. With the international environment in the school, students are surrounded by diversity and sympathy that allow them to understand, accept and learn to care for others.

Island School concerns for students’ academic performance, their responsibilities to the community, but more significant is that the school cares for students as individuals. The school believes all students are precious, as they all have different preferences for learning styles and their hobbies. The school can help students by placing them in the right program and providing support along the way. This shows in particular when students get to upper levels, students are in programs that allow them to express their individuality. These programs match the curriculum and activities at the same time.
