Victoria Shanghai Academy is a private school founded in 2004. It is located near the Aberdeen Harbor and it belongs to Victoria Shanghai Education Foundation Limited. The school was first established as Victoria Kindergarten, then expand to primary and secondary. A Chinese school that follows international curriculum with no funding or grants from Hong Kong government. There are total over 1800 students on campus.

The school is bilingual, uses Chinese and English on campus. It offers education in three different levels:

  • Primary Years (Years 1 to 5 for age 6-10)
  • Middle Years (Years 6 to 10 for age 11-15)
  • Diploma Programme (DP, Years 11 and 12 for age 16-18) - 2 years programme

Victoria Shanghai Academy is integrated with both Chinese and international cultures that offer students to learn both perspectives. With the school being bilingual, it hopes to spread international viewpoints and the appreciation of all cultures. It allows students to learn more of Chinese culture and be proud of their Chinese heritage. Students also have the option to pick up further learning Chinese, English or even to learn French or Spanish when they get to Middles Years, which requires to pick a third language class. The school cares for their students of their academic performance and individual success.

Victoria Shanghai Academy wants their students to be well-rounded individuals that are great thinkers, smart, considerate, respectful, willing to take challenges and explore. It also wants their students to be open minded, honest, expressive and self-reflective. In general, the school wants students to have five skills:
