Students not only learn international, but they get chances to get to know more about Chinese cultures and learn Mandarin.

In the school as a close community, it allows each individual to know their talents and what they can do. The school strives to offer opportunities where students can get to learn and know more of sustainability, to enhance personal growth, meet challenges and to have a balanced healthy way of life. Students are global citizens on and off campus.

UWC can be traced in part back to the 1950s during the Cold War. Dr. Kurt Hahn, who was a German educationalist, was motivated by the way enemies worked together to meet the goals. He trusted education was the best way to solve conflicts in the world. Nowadays, there are lots of people who have a similar mindset and share their beliefs as well as using their concepts in education. UWC stands by its perspective that education can solve conflicts.

United World College focuses on having people together, uniting their culture, bringing peace and having a better future. It encourages people to embrace the diversity of all, accepting all regardless of race, background, religion and more. It wants students to focus and acknowledge various values and carry these values with them after graduating to share and make a positive influence on the global.
