The Hong Kong Institute of Landscape Architects is a school established in Hong Kong. Hong Kong Landscape group was once part of the Landscape Institute of United Kingdom and established with landscape architecture professionals with different nationalities in Hong Kong. However, with more members joining the group, it was recognized by the Hong Kong Government in 1998 and became The Hong Kong Institute of Landscape Architects. The year after that it was also recognized by Australia Institute of Landscape Architects and New Zealand Institute of Landscape Architects which was founded in the following year. The school was confirmed with legal status in 1996.
Through time changes, landscape architects feel there is a need to regulate and monitor qualification of all professionals, so a private bill was passed in 1995. Landscape Architects Registration Ordinance was here in 1997.
The Hong Kong Institute of Landscape Architects focuses on showing the best design and provides a place where landscape architects can get recognition from their awesome work. The institute also has a development where it makes plans to meet the needs for local and international clients. It provides consultant service to private and government as well.
